Nursing Program

On March 24, 1987, the Registered Nursing Association of British Columbia (RNABC) wrote to President Snider, expressing an interest in discussing “the development of a nursing education program at TWU.”
A feasibility study was completed in 1989, the same year that the Minister of Advanced Education and Job Training announced the intention to provide development funds for additional baccalaureate nursing training positions.
In January, 1990, Trinity’s Board of Governors approved implementation of the program. Trinity’s first class of nursing students convened in September, 1993.
